The Natural History Museum of Río Seco, in Punta Arenas, Chile, has been made custodian of a large repository of materials on the Kawésqar language (ALC – kawa1234) collected by Chilean lingust Oscar Aguilera Faúndez in collaboration with José Tonko the community at Puerto Edén over the past 50 years or so. The materials include an extensive dictionary and other grammatical documents which will doubtless contribute to this project's goals.
